He also helped launch the PlayStation Move motion controller back in 2010, which is now a key part of the PlayStation VR headset.

Google and Sony both have intellectual property around waveguide designs similar in nature. These three companies appear to have now demonstrated in a lab environment, designs similar to what DigiLens was producing in 2010. They recently closed a $22M round co-led by Sony and Foxconn. Since the original PlayStation 1 launched in America in 1995, and including the handhelds like Vita, as well as the launch of PlayStation Move and its accompanying camera in 2010, this is the eighth major hardware launch for the gaming giant.
