The nominations for this year’s BAFTA Game Awards have been announced , and Sony’s PlayStation VR (PSVR) is once again leading the charge for virtual reality. Rocksteady were previous recipients of the Best Game award in 2010 with the game that started it all, Batman: Arkham Asylum.

Sony’s positiontally-tracked wands bring your hands into VR with relative accuracy, but they pale in comparison to the HTC Vive’s wands or Oculus Touch controllers. It shows a peripheral that links the Move to its companion device, the Navigation Controller, that launched alongside the main unit in 2010.

The Auggie Awards have been recognizing XR since 2010.” Best Collaboration Tool Sony Electronics Head of XR Business Development Thaisa Yamamura was “honored to present” the Auggie Award for Best Collaboration Tool. She also presented the winner with a 15.6in Sony Spatial Reality Display. We’re just so happy.

Since around 2010 modern day VR has come out through the companies of Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and the Sony Playstation VR. Created in 1838 this device used an image with two pictures that when looked at very closely created a sense of depth and field for the viewer.
