We’re tracking the best HTC Vive deals for Black Friday 2017 and Cyber Monday as they spring up. HTC Vive Deal Baseline. Sans any sales, the HTC Vive MSRP is $600, which includes the base system (headset with standard strap, two base stations, two controllers, cables), and usually a smaller game, like Tilt Brush.
While Microsoft has been full steam ahead on the augmented reality side of Windows Mixed Reality via HoloLens, the company has had very little to say in the last year about the VR side of its platform. While it may look like Microsoft has largely given up on the effort, the company tells us that it remains committed.

TPCAST , the company known for creating a wireless adapter for HTC Vive, announced that they’ll be delivering a device that supports the Oculus Rift by the end of the year. TPCast maintains their “Wireless Adapter for Oculus Rift” is slated to arrive “by the end of Q4 2017.”
Looking at the wider industry, E3 2017 hasn’t been the most memorable show. It was Microsoft that dropped the ball the hardest. This time last year Microsoft was telling us that the console, then codenamed Project Scorpio, would be capable of high-fidelity VR. Sadly, companies failed to really communicate that this week.

Coatsink , the studio behind VR titles A Night Sky (2017) and Augmented Empire (2017), announced they’re bringing their first mobile VR title, Esper (2015), to PlayStation VR, Oculus Go and Xiaomi Mi on June 29th. Esper is also slated to launch on HTC Vive via Steam on July 6th. training program instructor.

HTC is getting into the VR content development game with the launch of Vive Studios. Announced Thursday, Vive Studios is HTC’s internal VR development team that’s been stealthily creating content to be released to consumers.
