Apple has been continuously iterating on ARKit , its augmented reality development tool that lets creators make smartphone-based AR experiences. SEE ALSO Report: Apple Nearly Acquired Leap Motion but the Deal Fell Through. In any case, there’s been several reports of an Apple AR headset in the making.

It seems cool, but I would like to try it to believe in it: all the times that someone promised me some kind of sensory magic, it never turned out so good as they told me (like with the phantom touch sensation that Leap Motion told me about ). Valve may be experimenting with wireless/standalone Index.

Jokes apart, since it is “just” an evolution of first gen, maybe we’ll be able to see some announcement in 2019 and release in 2019-2020. This is fascinating, but there is the problem is that adding weight there, would make the device uncomfortable; It is a slot to add Leap Motion. We’ll see.

We have spent a large amount of time in the last 2 years exploring what we could build in VR, there was obviously a lot of personal learning and false directions, but even if you just count the time spent on Peco Peco since last June 2020 (part-time for all 3 of us), we didn’t get the equivalent back. .
