As we talked about in our 2023 retrospective, Apple Vision Pro was certainly the most talked about story of the year. Additionally, Apple has confirmed the price of the headset’s ZEISS optical inserts: $100 for ‘readers’ (off-the-shelf vision correction), and $150 for prescription-specific vision correction.

Talking about the optics system of the Vision Pro, there are still many unknowns about the ZEISS prescription lenses associated with the device. Talking about content, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is one of the first series shot with Apple’s ‘Immersive Video’ format and is set to debut on Apple TV+ in late 2023.

And well… if I look at these points, I can’t say I was entirely satisfied with what I’ve heard today.

Apple was a significant headline stealer last year after the firm unveiled its Vision Pro headset at WWDC 2023. Reports from the end of 2023 suggest Apple aims for a March 2024 release date. While forecasts differ, it appears the Vision Pro landing is coming nonetheless.

Apple finally announced its first “ spatial computing ” headset after years of speculation in June this year during the WWDC 2023 conference. Light shields, headbands, and custom Zeiss optical inserts for people who need eyeglasses are likely to be extra. The Quest is a lot more affordable.
