The first device to be compatible with it is the mixed-reality headset that Google is building with Samsung and Qualcomm, codenamed Project Moohan. The specifications on paper look nice, and for sure the one between Google and Samsung looks like a strong partnership. As a Unity developer (also knowledgeable of VRChat), I’m not surprised at all, honestly.

After so much time teasing it, Google has finally announced Android XR, the version of Android for XR devices, and gave hands-on demos of the headset it is building with Samsung and Qualcomm. There is no information on the price (the latest rumor talked about $2000 circa), and availability will be sometime in 2025.
