HTC announced today the official launch of the consumer version of the Viveport M mobile VR content platform. Viveport M is compatible with most Android phones and designed to allow you to easily find and use mobile VR applications or experience 360° videos in both touchscreen and VR modes.
This hopefully also means we’re getting something Oculus promised as a feature back when Home was initially announced for the consumer Rift back in the summer of 2015: 360video previews of games. “We solved the problem by rethinking the way 360 content is created,” writes Lee and Gupta.
