While VR communities are full of posts like “ 360videos are not VR “, 360videos are still widely used for marketing. 360 tours of houses made with 360 cameras are still not widespread and that many people still don’t know them. You have to think about this when starting up your business.
We're going to dig into using MagicLeap and Hololens and mixed reality headsets as a tool for business. And so we got-- our main first break as Extality was leveraging some of our game connections and things like that, to get close to MagicLeap. Just take 360video, for example.

There’s so many physiological aspects that we’re able to collect incredible amounts of data, and so, by collecting this data, all sorts of trainers will have unprecedented levels of data around the person they’re studying. It’s really exciting. Antony: Yeah. It’s all exciting, for that high input.
Alan: So with that, what is one of the best use cases or case studies of virtual, augmented, or mixed reality that you’ve seen to date? Like my Dekko, and what we built at Samsung were exactly the same technology that ARKit and ARCore and MagicLeap and others built. It’s just been fantastic to work with these guys.

It's funny, because for years and years, we've studied people's movements, but we've never had anything this accurate.

MagicLeap raises other $350M. I honestly don’t even know how to report this piece of news: MagicLeap has raised other money, to be exact $350M, and it seems that a healthcare company is involved. This means that you can shoot 30FPS videos and then have fluid ones as output! It’s all very cool.
It was like a 360video, interactive experience. Alan: Are you seeing that 360video is something that people are resonating with? Alan: Are you seeing that 360video is something that people are resonating with? The 360video, they get bored very quickly; 360video is just TV in VR.

And that's partly because people's understanding of VR is, "I can look around to 360 image. I can potentially look around a 360video." I was reading a study on this early on and the time dilation can be as much as 25 percent that people think they're in VR a lot shorter than they actually are. I asked him for the study.
I mean, if you look at the latest batch of VR headsets, the capabilities of something like the Oculus Quest, and what you get for that price bracket, it’s just unbelievable just how far it’s gone, because I still look back to case studies from places like the Virtual Human Interaction Lab at Stanford.

I’d say that through at least 2022, the enterprise will account for the majority of augmented and mixed reality headsets like Hololens and MagicLeap. And being immersed in a 360video, for example, makes a wonderful training tool. Enterprise will account for the majority of those through at least 2022.

So, being able to use that asset across Web and Snapchat and Facebook and, in the future, LinkedIn and Instagram, and also on VR and a AR and Hololens and MagicLeap; being able to use that across everything. There's something from MagicLeap in there, and there's. I've seen quite a few things in a lot of my studies.

And certainly teachers are grasping onto this notion that virtual reality is a great boon to immersing kids in particular things, whether it’s physics or being able to study, you know, things about the ocean. But the idea with that is that we couldn’t possibly build even if it was just 360video. Mike: Yeah.
