VR Live Pass, Samsung’s 360-degree video livestream partnership for Gear VR, continues in July with live coverage of the X Games Minneapolis. From July 13th to 16th, US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis will host the Summer X Games 2017.
Currently the app only has a total of nine 360° live music performances, with other artists featured including The Blind Shake, Low Cut Connie, Big Ups, Eli “Paperboy” Reed, Sweet Spirit and Shannon and The Clams. Rhapsody states they will be adding new content every month.
Live streaming events like this in 360 isn’t anything new, but with Samsung’s live pass we’re hoping that the X Games in Minneapolis will be an event to remember. Turns out Next VR isn’t live streaming every sport under the sun in VR; the upcoming X Games will be broadcast by Samsung itself.
