Facebook’s VR headset subsidiary Oculus is finally integrating a native tool that will let you capture and share your Rift experiences through 360 photos and videos—one that developers can integrate into Unity and Unreal Engines, and across NVIDIA and AMD GPUs— and it’s available today on GitHub.

It is a real-time rendered experience (I guess they have used Unreal Engine), in which you can navigate in the cosmos and see the planets, the stars , etc… You can hear the sounds of the universe, you can see things that you are not able to see in real life (e.g. The second is about the universe and the black holes.
These are realistic places you can explore in your Oculus Rift or HTC Vive. You can either get immersive stuff by building on top of Unity or Unreal, but you’re stuck in a videogame world. Or you can get photoreal capture of live subjects and live environments, but you’re stuck with the tyranny of 360video.

Owlchemy Labs will also develop “Inside [Job]”, the introductory experience to teach people who just turned on their first AndroidXR MR headset how to interact with it (it will be something similar to Oculus First Contact). Google is also moving all its G-suite to AndroidXR, giving the apps also some extra XR-related features.
