Connecticut naval museum Mystic Seaport is opening an exhibit that uses Microsoft’s HoloLens mixed reality headset to let guests walk into a tundra through holograms and spatialized sound. A preview of Murmur debuted at the Anchorage Museum in Alaska earlier this month. Holograms take you to a faraway Arctic marsh.

If you no longer have to fly somebody out to a remote field in Alaska to fix something, that can be a huge cost savings. And I think that's where executives are getting confused.
