I have been talking with hundreds of people across the industry and have discovered that the changes coming to Apple are deeper than just a VR/AR headset. This is the fourth paradigm shift for Apple. So, what is Apple getting ready to announce over the next year? Eventually, I hear, Apple will even bring 3D to 2D monitors.
PS Sorry for the delay in publishing this newsletter, but I had a lot of stuff to do when I came back from LasVegas) Top news of the week Many XR products were showcased at CES CES is probably the biggest tech event of the year, and it was refreshing to see that there was a dedicated area for XR companies there. This is impressive.
Everybody in the world of consumer and entertainment technology has their eyes set on LasVegas, where CES 2023 is set to open its doors in early January. A returning highlight of the event will be the Indy Autonomous Challenge , which will see fully AI-piloted vehicles racing at speeds of up to 190 mph at the LasVegas Speedway.
Roughly 177,000 people are expected to converge on LasVegas next week for the Consumer Electronics Show. When you think about things like intelligent assistants, we have embedded services like Siri from Apple, Google Home, Amazon Echo with Alexa. Apple historically has been more closed and done extremely well.
