We had all the indications that this Q4 would have been good again, like the fact that the Meta Quest companion phone app was the first on the iOS store, that 1 Million people had played Batman Arkham Shadow, or that the Quest was the most sold console of 2024 on Amazon. The fact is: we didnt consider Ray-Ban Meta into the equation.
In the last couple of years, AR has experienced tremendous growth and popularity as big technology giants like Google, Amazon, Apple have adopted the technology. There have also been improvements in both hardware and software that most developers have begun to take advantage of. The concept of augmented reality is no longer new.
