The original Pictionary game (Image from Amazon, the game is from Hasbro) Suddenly a light bulb lit up in my head: I remembered the fun nights with my friends playing Pictionary. In the first case, we presented the game on stage at an HTC event, while this time it was showcased in a few Pico events.

Digital Trends recently published a report entitled ‘VR is in a tailspin, and the sales numbers prove it’ It seems HTC has taken umbrage with the article’s thesis in its newest blog post however, which pushes back against some of the article’s claims, saying it’s “not the whole story.”

But hey, let me play this game anyway, so here you are my predictions for virtual reality in 2021 based on the trends and the anticipations that we had at the end of 2020! I expect all these trends to continue in 2021, for a year that will see the growth of the technology on all its sides (software and hardware).

With both the Quest 2 128GB and 256GB models now back in stock at major retailers like Amazon, we expect to see the headset’s growth on Steam continue in the months ahead. HTC’s grasp also declined slightly to 14.45% ( –0.11% ), while Valve dropped a bit more to 15.99% ( –0.24% ). Monthly-connected VR Headsets on Steam.

Speakers from goliaths like Amazon, Ford, and IKEA will rub shoulders with Vancouver up-and-comers including Motive.io and LNG Studios , each showcasing programs that put hardware like HTC Vive or Microsoft HoloLens through their paces.
