This night I woke up at 3am to participate in HTC Vive’s event on ENGAGE because I read that it was an “HTC VIVE LAUNCH EVENT” and I was super-confident in the launch of the Cosmos XR or at least of the Cosmos Play. Some of these key players, like ENGAGE, are companies in which HTC already invests into.

Engage is a professional social VR application , very suitable to organize professional workshops and presentations. The company got more than $10M of investment over the years, including important support from HTC Vive, which uses its spaces to organize the virtual events to launch its XR hardware.

The company has set up a virtual event on the platform ENGAGE (of which HTC is an investor) for October, 14th 2021 at 8 am PDT. Send me hugs while I’m still human! Learn more.

It released on PS VR last year as one of its best launch titles and is now available for HTC Vive (and Rift), giving PC players a high-octane tank shooter to experience.

Furthermore, some of the workshops will be held remotely in livestreaming at predefined times. It was already rumored that Apple was using HTC devices for internal tests, and given that the HTC Vive is the only headset compatible with Mac, we all wonder if there is some kind of collaboration going on between the two companies.

There wasn’t a different width interface or a spare interface provided , which puzzled me as the HTC Vive (a Valve collaboration) had shipped with both narrow and wide facial interfaces – the “wide” really a regular fit and the narrow for people with narrow faces. .
