Because Silicon Valley grew up around us, literally, I had a front-row seat from a very early age (I got a tour of Apple when it was only a building or two back when I was 13 in 1977. Apple started a mile away from my house, so close that I stole apricots from where many of its buildings now sit. High in Cupertino that same year.
