Google is clearly no stranger to extended reality though the failure of the Google glass specs is evidence that the company hasnt always excelled in the hardware space. Even outside of the hardware market, Google has given companies access to AR app development kits and immersive software for some time now.
Now, I don’t want to sound like a balloon popper, but VRChat basically lets you use Unity for the development, so most of the content that can be developed in Unity and that does not require low-level features like reading files or connecting with custom servers can be done in VRChat.
Samsung is one of the most important smartphone brands, and probably one of the few brands in the world that can try to compete with Apple. But this headset looks to me arriving a bit too late and already chasing the Vision Pro, so probably Apple will win the first round. This means that iPhone users can not enjoy WebXR yet.
