A quick demo offered by Doublepoint at the Augmented World Expo in Long Beach brought across the concept. I could see WowMouse's approach being one day integrated by Apple Watch for use with future Apple smart glasses, and in Wear OS by Google for use with Android Micro XR.

It is June 2024 now and Apple Vision Pro and Meta Quest push two ends of the standalone VR headset market with hand tracking that doesn't use Leap Motion. In May 2019, Ultrahaptics bought Leap Motion to merge their complementary ideas – a haptic effect produced through ultrasound with industry-leading hand tracking.
