Apple AR headset may have been delayed to 2025. Yes, we have rumors about Apple XR devices even this week. But it is impressive anyway. It’s believable.

Apple signs a deal with Imagination Technologies. Apple has just signed a multi-year deal with Imagination Technologies. With this agreement, Apple gets access to various IP by this company, and so gets access to this knowledge. Apple is probably securing the possibility to implement fast ray tracing in iPhones.

Magic Leap and nReal are trying to find an agreement. The trade secrets lawsuit between Magic Leap and nReal is entering a new phase, where the two companies will start a mediation to try to find a settlement. I’d say that through at least 2022, the enterprise will account for the majority of augmented and mixed reality headsets like Hololens and Magic Leap. If you look at someone like Apple, they aren’t about to put their logo on something like the current developer-focused headsets out there.
