Play For Dream's latest headset is a blatant Apple Vision Pro clone but with a Quest Pro style rear battery. Play For Dream MR was announced back in June , but at the time the company only confirmed it was launching in China soon, Singapore and Malaysia in October, and then Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Japan sometime in 2025. Just Dance VR is also part of a big focus on Fitness by Pico , with Pico Fitness already being part of the runtime and tracking the calories you burn while using the headset (clearly inspired by Oculus Move) and sharing them to Apple Health (like Oculus Move). Les Mills Body Combat has just been announced as being part of the content library.

Virtual objects will always appear in front of your hands and arms, which is jarring. Pico OS takes an interesting approach to multitasking.

Valve was collaborating with eye-tracking company SMI to add eye tracking to OpenVR (thanks u/PrAyTeLLa for noticing it), and this is a clear sign that it is interested in this technology, but I’ve also to warn you that some months later this announcement, SMI has been acquired by Apple. An Apple-linked company applied to trademark 'xrOS' in New Zealand. Spotted by The Verge's Parker Ortolani , the word mark uses Apple's SF Pro typeface and was filed by Deep Dive LLC, a firm believed to be a shell company of Apple. The Information and Gurman have previously reported the product will be priced around $3000.
