More info Google and Samsung are working on smartglasses According to The Information, Google and Samsung are not only working together on a mixed reality headset but also on a pair of smartglasses (a la Ray-Ban Meta) powered by Gemini AI. I cross my fingers, but I don’t have high hopes.

Xreal Air 2 Ultra are true AR glasses, but they only work with two specific Samsung phones. That's still a significantly narrower field of view than what you'd get from opaque headsets with passthrough cameras such as Meta Quest 3 and the upcoming Apple Vision Pro, which have horizontal and vertical field of views roughly around 100°.
