Apple appears to be getting ready to unveil its first mixed reality headset at its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June. Apple TV : both immersive sports content and traditional video content – the latter presented in virtual environments, such as a desert or the sky. Siri voice control is also present.
But there’s lots more that Apple didn’t actually show on stage. Beyond what Apple showed of VisionOS 2 in the WWDC keynote, there’s a lot more coming when the update launches this Fall. It will be interesting to see how well Apple’s approach works. Here’s everything we know so far.

Both Apple and Meta revealed highly anticipated headsets in the last seven days. Meta’s seemingly hasty announcement of the Quest 3 seems to have been timed to come out before Apple’s announcement of the Vision Pro. Apple reported over 10 million pixels per eye, but did not release familiar resolution metrics or field-of-view.
The glasses, codenamed Orion, should be made to replace smartphones and are slated for a release date of 2023–2025, that seems very reasonable, considering that no present tech is able to create truly consumer AR. We may know the field of view of Apple AR headset. But Facebook is not waiting the OC6 to present all its products.
