XR devices are all over the headlines this month; the release of the Apple Vision Pro has brought spatial computing/mixed reality wearables to the forefront of emerging workplace and consumer-based digital solutions. Bingo Wu AR glasses offer immense potential across various B2B applications.
Looking Glass’ new displays are a great example of how XR and spatial computing technologies are present in various end devices, not just AR/VR/MR headsets. The displays are suited for use cases such as product design procedures. Starting this month, Looking Glass will distribute 16-inch and 32-inch XR displays.
Recently, XR Today caught up with Shawn Frayne, CEO and Co-Founder of Looking Glass Factory , a Brooklyn, New York, based XR device start-up developing a portfolio of 3D spatial displays that allow individuals or groups of users to view and collaborate on 3D content visualisations without needing to put on AR smart glasses or a VR/MR headset.
Examples of such peripherals could be head trackers, hand and finger sensors (like Leap Motion and SoftKinetic), gesturecontrol devices (such as the Myo armband and the Nod ring), cameras, eye trackers and many others. Provide optimized connectors to popular engines such as Unity and Unreal.
