As for the suggestion engine, it is always been a problem since the Gear VR times, when people started receiving nonsense notifications like “Since you liked Arizona Sunshine, go playing Hello Kitty Word 2000” and published them on Reddit so that we all could have a laugh. Wouldn’t this feel strange?

2018 also saw the release of Arizona Sunshine LB VR Edition , a location-based version of Vertigo Games’ 2016 VR smash-hit, Arizona Sunshine. Even the United States Army has begun its implementation of immersive technology into its training exercises, ordering over 100,000 HoloLens Mixed Reality headsets from Microsoft.

The Quest has dominated the searches on Google and it has gone sold out quite soon, and people that really wanted to buy it had to buy it from some online resellers that offered it at higher prices. It could have been a prospective student tour at Arizona State University. Google gave a grant to the DuSable Museum in Chicago, so they wanted to reboot the Mayor Harold Washington exhibit.

That’s why we rejoiced when Apple launched its headset: while Google and Microsoft can discard new technologies pretty easily, Apple is slower at deciding to take a step, but when it makes it, it commits to it. This is a huge sign of commitment towards mixed reality.
