Yes, this one has passthrough, 4K screens, etc… but still, it’s a very old and very not-immersive use case. You can look at something while you have your headset on, record it as a 3D recording, and then re-watch it in an “immersive” way later, whenever you want. So it’s a good use case, but nothing new.

Talking about the optics system of the Vision Pro, there are still many unknowns about the ZEISS prescription lenses associated with the device. Talking about content, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is one of the first series shot with Apple’s ‘Immersive Video’ format and is set to debut on Apple TV+ in late 2023.

Plus Apple is proposing some special content in its Immersive Video format, which is a high-definition version of the usual 180 3D. Disney+ will be available on the device, and you will be able to watch Disney movies in 4 marvelous immersive environments. So at launch, there will be 150 3D videos on Apple TV.
