To keep the price this low, the headse t will ship without controllers, it will feature Fresnel lenses and black/white passthrough. The short term effect is that Microsoft is working in bringing more Activision games to its Xbox Pass offering , so the people using Xbox Pass on Quest will be able to play these games on a giant screen, too.
This is also possible because the Roy controllers associated with this headset have the same controls as a gamepad. As for the operating system of the device, it should be SteamOS, the same as Steam Deck. And indeed the device should be able to play SteamDeck flatscreen games, but on a big screen in VR.
