VRTUOLUO is one of the leading VR publications in China : let’s say it’s a bit like the Chinese version of Upload VR. HTC is getting into the VR content development game with the launch of Vive Studios. Me trying the Realmax glasses in Nanchang, China… am I not supercool? This is a simpler mechanism than the waveguides employed by Microsoft HoloLens 2 or by Magic Leap, and while it may provide a bit less immersive holograms, it is the only way to provide affordable wide-FOV glasses at the moment. E3 2016 kicks off this week; it’s the first E3 since the launch of the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, and the last before the launch of Sony’s PlayStation VR headset. The most reactive major XR company has been HTC that has decided that its annual VEC event, that was usually held in Shenzhen, China, will be held in the ENGAGE virtual platform. The situation is a bit awkward but we’re not collapsing at the moment.
