Last month HTC Vive announced that it was partnering with in-car VR entertainment company Holoride to bring its new HTC Vive Flow to backseats everywhere. Anyway, sub-mm accuracy, together with the precision and speed of the tracking contributes to making this tracking not only precise but also very reliable , even when you are moving your controllers pretty fast. This means that for most use cases, the precision of standalone controllers is now more than enough.

Be careful that XYN won’t be dedicated to gaming , that is more a prerogative of PSVR 2, but to creators, or entertainment in general. We asked if there are multiple sizes of the controller to cope with the different hand sizes, and we have weirdly been told that there are not.

Honestly speaking, I wasn’t expecting interesting news from this CES in AR and VR, while actually we just had one: Sony has revealed almost all the specifications of the upcoming PlayStation VR 2 headset and its controllers! Holoride is a very original startup in the XR ecosystem because it focuses on in-car VR entertainment. This is amazing because it can be the entertainment of the future when cars and buses will be self-driven, and so we will need to entertain ourselves while we are on a trip.
