XRHealth and HTC VIVE are set to blast off with a groundbreaking solution in a major partnership to help astronauts tackle mental health issues. In a 5 November lauch date to the International Space Station (ISS), XRHealth’s immersive healthcare solution will set course for the stars with HTC VIVE and Nord-Space Aps.
Based on the video provided, it appears as though attendees will be using PC backpacks provided by VRcade Systems all-in-one free-roam VR platform in conjunction with the HTC Vive Pro and its motion controllers. As for what the experience is actually like, we’ll just have to wait and see.
The arcade cabinet, which is touted for its ability to run attendant-free, is set to debut next week at the IAAPA Attractions Expo in Orlando, Florida. HTC CEO Yves Maitre resigns. HTC, you did it again. And I think that he was doing a good job: he understood that at this point, HTC can’t compete with Oculus and its ridiculously low prices, so it should all focus on the enterprise market, where instead HTC shines. He was giving a clear direction to the company.
HTC has finally revealed the price of the Vive Pro : it will cost $799 just to have the headset (no controller and no base stations, so you must already have a Vive 1 kit) and will be available for pre-orders since April, 5th.
