Vive Flow, HTC’s compact VR headset, is targeted at travelers and consumers looking for casual VR experiences and media consumption. Now the company has announced it’s marketing a Business Edition of Vive Flow alongside an optional controller which should make navigating in-headset a bit easier for first-time users.
HTC’s lightweight VR device is designed primarily for lifestyle and light entertainment. HTC today unveiled the Vive Flow, a portable VR glasses device. Unlike existing VR headsets such as the HTC Vive or Oculus Quest 2, the Vive Flow is aimed primarily at mental and physical wellness rather than AAA gaming or enterprise.

Valve’s monthly Steam hardware and software survey is out, and it appears Oculus Rift is still gaining momentum over HTC Vive on the Steam platform as the number one VR headset among Steam users. There’s no doubt about it; weilding a real controller that matches the weight and feel of a virtual object is far more immersive than having a disconnect between the two. The problem, of course, is that if a controller is made to fit too specific a role, it’s less useful for interacting with a wide range of virtual objects.
Sony unveils the new controllers of the PSVR2. One month after the reveal of a “next-gen VR headset for the Playstation” (whose name is not known, but I guess it will be PSVR2), Sony has revealed one important detail of its new VR system: the controllers. The controllers will be given to selected developers very soon.
According to Valve’s February Steam hardware and software survey, the Oculus Rift is now the most used VR headset on the Steam platform, taking the market share of VR headsets on Steam with a near 2% lead over its competitor HTC Vive. This is the first time Rift has surpassed Vive in Valve’s monthly survey.

Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 845 VRDK , a VR headset reference design for hardware and software developers, is now offering 6DOF controller input with ultrasonic tracking.
