Last week we had the chance to check out Marvel’s Avengers: Damage Control , a new location-based VR experience from ILMxLAB that’s heading to select VOID centers October 18th. Unlike many other location-based experiences featured at The VOID, Avengers: Damage Control relies entirely on hand-tracking when it comes to player interaction.
While past VOID experiences have tended to gravitate around weapon-based gameplay mechanics, including Ghostbusters: Dimensions and Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire , the providers more recent offerings, such as Avengers: Damage Control , have shifted away from physical weapons in favor of hand and gesture-tracking technology.
