In preparation for the reveal of its next VR headset, Sony today gave a first look at its next-gen VR controller for use with PS5, something that appears very similar to Oculus’ Touch controller. Sony showed off the new controller today, detailing a few of the most impactful changes coming to its VR ecosystem.

Honestly speaking, I wasn’t expecting interesting news from this CES in AR and VR, while actually we just had one: Sony has revealed almost all the specifications of the upcoming PlayStation VR 2 headset and its controllers! A report from Bloomberg citing unnamed sources points to a Holiday 2022 launch of Sony’s next-gen PSVR headset. According to the leaked documents, the VR port of RE4 is scheduled to launch May 2021 on Oculus VR. While it’s unclear which headsets the document is referring to specifically, based on the age of the now-classic third-person shooter, I doubt the game would have any difficulty running on the Oculus Quest platform.
