Japan’s very first VR-focused international film festival, Beyond the Frame Festival , is currently underway thanks to a partnership with HTC Vive. Walkabout Mini Golf , one of the most popular multiplayer VR games currently available on the Meta Quest, this week announced three new minigolf courses inspired by famed novelist Jules Verne. Developer Mighty Coconut will launch the first course, Walkabout Mini Golf: Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, by the end of September for $2.99.

A VIVE Studios production about the miracles performed by Jesus Christ was the winner of the “VR Film of the Festival” grand jury category. Coming in at just over 70 minutes, the film is divided into 10-minute chapters, each depicting one of Jesus Christ’s famous miracles from the Gospel of John.
Walkabout Mini Golf (2020) has been tempting us lately with the upcoming release of a course based on Jim Henson’s ’80s fantasy film LABYRINTH (1986), which is coming at some point this summer. Walkabout Mini Golf developer Mighty Coconut announced its long-awaited ‘Wallace & Gromit’ paid DLC course is coming this Thursday. Created in partnership with Wallace & Gromit creators Aardman Animation , the course includes 18 easy mode and hard mode holes, a commemorative in-game putter and themed avatars.
