Yesterday at Mobile World Congress, Microsoft unveiled HoloLens 2, the company’s next iteration of its enterprise-focused standalone AR headset. Of course, I never got the chance to step outside in the Barcelona sun to see how it worked in the worst possible condition—the true test of any AR display system. The short answer: yes.

Two new VR headsets joined the spec sheet fray today; Microsoft pulled back the curtain on its first two Windows 10 headsets made by Acer and HP. While both are lower in cost than the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, they present dramatically different means of delivering immersive experiences than what we’ve seen before.
It was back in April that we told you that education startup Lifeliqe was bringing its services to Microsoft’s HoloLens platform. That is of course if they have a HoloLens; Microsoft’s device costs $3,000 as an experimental developer edition and isn’t expected to hit the consumer market for years to come.
