I’m not well-versed in Chinese mythology, but even I’ve heard of the Monkey King, otherwise known as Sun Wukong. Most notably, I know about his appearance in the 16th century novel, Journey to the West.

Of course, some people from all over the world made some tricks to buy it anyway. Twitter account M1Astra started sharing information about some of them, like an app about the Bible, a Lego building game, the J.Crew app to buy clothes in an immersive way, and so on. There is even Microsoft Word!

I hope they are going to come later… And then of course there is the last horrible thing which is the cable that connects the headset to the external battery. Screen replacement is of course useful, but we already have had it for ages in VR. The cable is bad to be seen, and it is going to be a nuisance during usage.

This is why Apple has partnered with Zeiss to create custom optical inserts to replace glasses for users. Of course, the question is, when the Apple Vision Pro does finally arrive, will it live up to expectations? The Apple Vision Pro’s display may have one limitation, however.

They told me to bring my Zeiss prescription lenses if I had them, so I pulled those off my headset at home and brought them along in my UploadVR Bag. Immersive movie-making is not a new idea, of course. Apple invited me to what amounts to a premiere red carpet event in New York to view Submerged before its release on Apple’s headsets.
