Former John Carmack employer ZeniMax released a statement outlining the case they intend to make in court against Facebook, Oculus and its management. We’ve also reached out to Facebook for an updated statement, but last week we received the following from Oculus about the case: We’re eager to present our case in court.

Jeff: Yeah, we're fairly hardware agnostic, so we've done projects in just about any type of hardware. I mean, all you really need is a fairly small technology setup. In the three to four years since the release of Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, the number of VR headsets available on the market has grown. I work in XR, organizing events and writing about AR and VR for my livelihood and yet, unlike some of my male peers, I purchased my very first piece of VR hardware just this year with the release of Oculus Go.

The Oculus Quest was a hit. At this year’s year’s E3 conference, Facebook’s Vice President of Special Gaming Strategies Jason Rubin told audiences that the Oculus Quest was seeing “console-like” engagement from users, selling $5 million worth of content in first 2 weeks since the device started shipping back in May.
