I finally managed (with some delay) to find the time to try First Hand, Meta’s opensource demo of the Interaction SDK , which shows how to properly develop hand-tracked applications. What is incredible about this demo is that all the interactions are very polished, and designed so that to be ideal for the user. First Hand.

Then I sneaked into a relax room because I’d been told the Surreal guy was trying to do demos there because the Wi-Fi was better and I was finally able to try Beat Saber on the Apple Vision Pro streamed from a PC.

Some of the demos were pretty cool because they involved simulators: for instance, I was able to drive a racing car with all the haptic effects on the steering wheel inside a simulator. I have not been able to test the audio of the device , but a Magic Leap employee told me they have a very cool demo with 360 spatial audio that people usually love.

But it was possible to grab the demo unit and put it close to the eye so that to see some visuals inside. The demo unit was a hard plastic lens having a holographic display. Exactly like with Mojo Vision, people couldn’t put the lenses inside their eyes, for evident safety reasons. And this was already fantastic.
