My accumulative 30 minutes across three simulator-focused demos suggest VR1 definitely delivers the bulk of what’s promised, albeit with a few caveats (and features) that will probably push many towards the lower-priced alternative… but not everyone.
At this moment both the lenses and the unit are already functional, and the company has a demo that showcases the system working together. I have seen the demo via a Zoom call and CNET’s Scott Stein saw it live and we came out both impressed by it. The lenses work by connecting to an external computational unit.
I have tried its software in my office before going to Taiwan and then also had a live demo of some of its features in iStaging’s beautiful office. Apart from the demos, it has been also interesting talking with iStaging about the virtual tour business. O), but for now I can tell you that it really delivers what it promises.

If until now you could use Hubs however you wanted for free, from now on, you can only demo a free room, and then if you want to create rooms you have to pay a monthly $20 subscription.
