Google has just launched Poly , a new platform for browsing and downloading 3D objects and scenes. Fully integrated with Google’s popular VR creative tools Tilt Brush and Blocks , the new site also supports direct OBJ upload, and viewing of objects using a VR headset, or via a desktop or mobile browser.
Google today released the Tilt Brush Toolkit , a set of scripts that people can download for free on GitHub that allow developers and creators to interpret.tilt files in different ways. I think this decision may make a lot of sense: Meta is allegedly going to release glasses with a display at the end of this year, so launching something with fewer features may not have made much sense for Google.
