A few years ago, I traded my iPhone for an Android because Samsung released the Gear VR headset and Apple didn’t have anything similar in the pipeline. However, Samsung dropped its Gear VR project, and Google stopped developing its Cardboard and Daydream View platforms. And, Samsung showed off a transparent TV earlier this year.

Android is more customisable and is supported across various manufacturers (such as Samsung and Lenovo). Why should you buy a tablet? Sure, a tablet isn’t for everyone.

Microsoft and Samsung may be partnering for an AR device. According to Korean media, Samsung Electronics is working with Microsoft on a new augmented/mixed reality project “involving HoloLens”. Samsung is one of the most famous suppliers of components for electronic devices (e.g. Samsung Odyssey+).
