We’re in a bit of a gulf now that Quest 2 is sold out and Meta is likely preparing to drop a new, cheaper device pretty soon to fill its shoes. To keep the headset sales chugging though, Meta announced it’s offering 0% financing on Quest 3. Meta says eligible people in the US can finance a Quest 3 starting today at 0% APR through Affirm , which lets you pay $25 per month for a 128 GB headset, or $35 per month for the 512 GB model—both of which is paid over the course of 24 months.

This week, Meta announced that it would cease its App Lab storefront operations starting August 5th. This means users can no longer use the storefront to debut and test early access or experimental services; instead, users and developers will need to use the conventional Quest digital storefront to release all applications, including under-development ones.

A VR Games Showcase will air next month, promising "major announcements" for Quest, PSVR 2, and PC VR. Announced today, the new VR Games Showcase comes from Jamie Feltham, UploadVR's former Senior Editor. So far, the confirmed line-up includes debut gameplay footage for Hitman 3 VR Reloaded , new announcements from Flat2VR Studios. Expect new looks at Combat Waffle Studios' ( Ghosts of Tabor ) next games too, which weren't explicitly named but are likely GRIM and Silent North.

Blade & Sorcery: Nomad probably won't get a Quest 3 upgrade, according to the developer. Following the Blade & Sorcery full release on Steam, Warpfrog's The Baron was recently interviewed by Stealth Optional. As GRIM and Silent North head for early access, the Ghosts of Tabor studio's CEO isn't a fan of Meta phasing out App Lab. While Combat Waffle Studios is best known for Ghosts of Tabor , it's currently working on two other upcoming projects. For the unfamiliar, Silent North is an open-world survival horror/MMO hybrid zombie game, while GRIM is a survival multiplayer game being co-developed with Spoonfed Interactive.
