What does not convince me of the eye-and-hand interface of the Apple Vision Pro

The Apple Vision Pro is the device of the moment: since the preorders have been opened on January, 19th, my social media feed is full of posts that just talk about this device. And this is for a good reason: Apple entering the field is for sure a defining moment for the immersive reality space. One of the things that are talked about the most about the Vision Pro is the fact that it features no controllers and the interface works only with the eyes and the hands.

Now the studios say the futuristic racket sport is set to leave platform exclusivity as it’s scheduled to arrive on Quest and Pico headsets in April. Studios RapidEyeMovers and Wolf & Wood announced C-Smash VRS is coming to Quest 2/3/Pro and Pico 4 starting on April 4th.

Built from just 431 lines of HTML, immersive-hands.html is an example of one of VR's truly cross-compatible destinations demonstrating the ultimate promise of WebXR. For those unfamiliar, WebXR is a standard for Web browsers like Safari and the Meta Quest Browser allowing them to display fully immersive worlds in VR mode.
