Combat Waffle Studios and Beyond Frames Entertainment, the studios behind VR survival shooter Ghosts of Tabor (2023) , announced they’re launching a VR game into early access this week which is heavily inspired by Rust (2018). Developed by Spoonfed Interactive with support from Combat Waffle, GRIM is bringing a heaping spoonful of Rust -style multiplayer survival gameplay to PC VR and Quest starting this month.

Play For Dream MR's hardware and software design is definitely heavily inspired by Apple Vision Pro, and a representative admitted as much to me. The engineer goes by "Nami", and says he works for a Japanese car company and studied computer vision at university. He has also enlisted VRChat user bbbbb_himiko to promote the product on social media, and calls their team Vlugin.

All the OpenSim stats were up this month, as both land area, active users, and registered users all increased compared to mid-December 2024. The land area of the public OpenSim grids went up more than 100 standard region equivalents, active users were up by more than 600 — and the grids reported over 4,100 new registrations. Active user are the total number of unique visitors to a grid, both local and hypergrid.
