Apple May Halt Vision Pro Production by Year-End Amid Report of Sharply Reduced Output

Apple appears to be scaling back production of Vision Pro, and may even halt manufacturing entirely by the end of the year, The Information reports. According to the report, Apple started reducing production this summer, with supply chain sources maintaining that the company has built up enough inventory to meet projected demand for the foreseeable future.

Apple Could Reportedly Stop Vision Pro Production By The End Of The Year

Apple told Vision Pro's manufacturer it might ask it to stop Vision Pro production by the end of the year, The Information reports. That does not, however, mean that Apple will stop selling Vision Pro before a new Vision headset is available. Major electronics companies typically produce significant volumes of stock in advance, and the report cites employees at three component suppliers as saying they have built enough for between 500,000 and 600,000 Vision Pro headsets to date.

Minecraft: Bedrock Edition is officially dropping PC VR support after March. Mojang revealed the news in the latest Bedrock Changelog. The game currently supports Oculus Rift headsets, Quest Link, and Windows MR headsets on PC, though the Rift/Link version was delisted for new users in 2021. Here's the full note from the changelog: Our ability to support VR/MR devices has come to an end, and will no longer be supported in updates after March of 2025, when you will receive your final update.
