The first official Warhammer VR game for out-of-home VR attractions has been fully revealed. And it wouldn’t be a proper Warhammer game without an incredibly long title: Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine VR – Warriors of Avarax. The experience is planned to launch in October at Zero Latency locations worldwide. We knew as of 2022 that a Warhammer 40K experience was in development for VR attraction Zero Latency.

Sinn Studio, the Toronto-based indie behind VR sword-fighting game Swordsman (2020), has secured $2.5 million in a funding round, which is slated to propel the studio as it develops a new free-to-play combat game for VR. The funding round was led by Hartmann Capital, and includes participation by Boost VC, Republic, Alumni Ventures, Mana Ventures, MetaVision, and angel investors including Chris Ye of Uken Games.

Demeo is out now on Apple Vision Pro, with support for fully immersive VR. If you somehow haven't heard of it, Demeo is a virtual tabletop turn-based RPG for up to four players. As well as supporting VR on Meta Quest, PlayStation VR2, Pico, PC VR, and now Apple Vision Pro, a flatscreen version is also available for PC, PlayStation 5, iPad, and Mac. Quest and Pico players can also choose to play in mixed reality.
Snapchat has introduced ‘Snapchat Camera for Chrome’ that enable users to add AR Lenses to their webcams using a Google Chrome extension. The AR Lenses can then be used for video calls, video recordings, livestreams, and more, with the option to utilise any custom lenses creations as well. The internet tech blog, Engadget, which has been following Snapchat’s AR progress closely is unsurprised by their revival because it says they have “long been ingrained in Snapchat’s identity”.
