It seems the next Horizon OS update (ex-Quest OS) will include a way to do just that. Late last week, Varjo debuted its new Teleport solution. This digital twin-creation product drives accessibility to the emerging technology by allowing iOS users to create virtual recreations of real-world locations. The service is available under an early access period, with further distribution news to follow. Play For Dream's latest headset is a blatant Apple Vision Pro clone but with a Quest Pro style rear battery. When Qualcomm announced Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 in January, a higher-end variant of the chipset used in Meta Quest 3, the company told UploadVR that it will power Immersed's Visor , Samsung's upcoming Google-powered headset , a yet-to-be-announced new HTC Vive headset, a YVR headset in China, and a fifth headset from a currently undisclosed company.

Quest 2 is now out of stock in the US on Meta Store and major retailers. Since Quest 3 launched Meta has repeatedly cut the price of Quest 2, first to $250 and then in March to just $200. In April it even cut Quest 2 official accessory prices by more than 50% compared to their original prices. In February, the higher storage 256GB model of Quest 2 went out of stock globally and was delisted from all retailers, suggesting that production of at least that model has ended.

Meta’s social VR platform Horizon Worlds hasn’t been available to everyone, with the company restricting the app’s use to only a few countries. Now it’s rightfully rolling out to every region where Quest is supported. Despite being available on the web since last January , geolocation restrictions only allowed Quest users access in select countries, which included Canada, France, Iceland, Ireland, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Currently Horizon Worlds is only available in the USA, Canada, UK, France, Spain, Ireland, and Iceland. Now the platform is coming to the remaining Quest supported countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Sweden, South Korea, Switzerland, and Taiwan.
