A Dutch non-profit is strapping waterproof VR headsets on people in pools so they can “swim with dolphins.” Dolphin Swim Club has been offering the experience, named Dolphin VR , as “dolphin-assisted therapy” since last month. Amazon today announced a new developer tool at its annual AWS re:Invent that aims to make creating web-based applications for VR/AR and traditional monitors even easier. Called Sumerian, the tool is capable of publishing 3D content to any browser that supports WebGL or WebVR graphics rendering, including Daydream, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, and iOS mobile devices.

The Finnish startup is working on an advanced VR headset, built from modified Oculus Rift’s and other components, and is aimed at professional users.
