Hands-on: Logitech is Building the SteamVR Stylus That Needs to Exist

Logitech today revealed the VR Ink ‘Pilot Edition’ , a stylus built for art and design in VR. Built with SteamVR Tracking tech, the stylus works similarly to a typical SteamVR controller, but affords the natural precision that comes with precise finger control. While it works well for drawing in the air, a pressure-sensitive tip also makes it great for drawing (and potentially evening writing) against a physical surface.

The studio behind the infectiously cool action game SUPERHOT VR (2017) say the Oculus Quest launch last week has brought them another big helping of success. Superhot Team says in a press statement that on May 21st, Oculus Quest’s launch day, that the studio saw “300% higher sales than their launch on Oculus Rift.” Superhot VR initially came to Rift on December 5th, 2016 as an Oculus Touch launch title.

Ultrahaptics Acquires Leap Motion for a Reported $30M

Leap Motion, the pioneer in optical hand-tracking, has been acquired by Ultrahaptics, the enterprise-focused immersive haptics company. According to the Wall Street Journal , Ultrahaptics reportedly acquired Leap Motion for approximately $30 million.
