Are virtual reality headsets bad for your eyes? As VR devices continue to gain popularity in both the consumer and business landscapes, many potential users are asking this question. After all, for years, we’ve been told that “too much screen time” can cause eye fatigue, headaches, and more. To avoid awkward and sometimes disastrous learning content, instructional designers must use authentic translation in the right context to get optimal results. For example, even a simple phrase like “got milk” translates to “are you lactating” in Mexico. Can you imagine what a straight translation might do to your course? With over 317 million people in the US and over 6.7 billion potential customers in the world, personalizing training seems logical.
AWE US has come to an end. It’s been very tiresome, but in the end, I loved to go there. It has been a great occasion to reconnect with many friends, meet new people, and do useful business meetings. I also met Palmer Luckey for the first time there! I am super tired, but I’m very happy, it has been a good event for me, and I also fulfilled all the goals that I had set before the event.

AWE US is starting very soon and this year’s edition is expected to be one of the coolest ever. Many people are going there and there will also be some very special guests like Palmer Luckey. For some people, it is going to be the classical XR event that happens every year, while for others, this is going to be the first edition they attend. This is also true because this year the event is happening in LA and not in Santa Clara anymore, so I guess there will be many new visitors from the L

The biggest reason for the drop? 3rd Rock Grid is now officially closed , with some of its communities moved to ZetaWorlds.

Since when has learning and development (L&D) become such a negative experience with its intended learners? Could it be because learners have been conditioned by very poor learning experiences over the past two decades, combined with the kinks of technological innovation? Or is it because learning has typically been designed as a one-size-fits-all solution, despite the fact that humans are not clones?
Over the last decade I’ve reported on and tested many different VR styluses, but none of them have actually caught on. But the new MX Ink stylus for Quest stands a real chance at legitimizing the VR stylus as a whole, thanks to its thoughtful design, strong lineup of launch apps, and tight integration with Quest’s software.
