Some months ago I published a guide for all Unity developers on how to request Android permissions for the Vive Focus Plus, because it took me a while to sort out how to do it to access the camera stream to do augmented reality on that headset. Recently, I had a similar problem with the Oculus Quest , not to access the cameras (it is not possible, the applications can’t see them for privacy reasons), but to save a file on the storage from Unity.

One Month After the ?Half-Life: Alyx? Surge, SteamVR Usage on Steam Has Remained

The release of Half-Life: Alyx (2020) on Steam in late March brought along with it nearly one million additional monthly-connected VR headsets, a record gain in SteamVR users. Valve just released its Steam Hardware Survey for May , and it seems there’s been zero pull-back in connected headsets one month after the usership surge. Unreal Engine Apps Can Now Be Built with Quest Hand-tracking

An update to Oculus developer tools has brought a handful of updates, including support for Quest hand-tracking in Unreal Engine 4.
